Operational proud to be part of a growing network of innovative companies
Since Operational moved to their new home at Sci-Tech Daresbury, the number of innovative companies on campus has grown to a staggering 114 companies, enabling the initiative to have a firm grounding for success. In 2016 alone thirty four companies moved to the site, with Operational being one of them.
The initial concept of the Sci-Tech campus was for businesses to work alongside academic institutions and public sector bodies to promote collaboration and ensure the sharing of ideas, networks and knowledge.
This co-development and business support is creating an environment that enables imagination and encourages freedom of thought, world leading scientific research and a business network which allows innovative companies to become much stronger than their individual component parts.
By being part of this growing network, it means that Operational will be able to offer clients an enhanced level of services and solutions to their processing needs.
John Downes, group managing director of Langtree and chairman of the Sci-Tech Daresbury joint venture company, sums up the multiple benefits of the designated Enterprise Zone perfectly:
“When you match this open collaborative culture and leading industry expertise with the world-class technical facilities of the Science and Technology Facilities Council’s Daresbury Laboratory you create exceptional capabilities which businesses are able to tap into to maximise growth and often with potentially world-changing results.”
