Our capital project team based within our headquarters in Daresbury, specialise in delivering “turnkey” process and equipment upgrades.  Our ability to deliver the below, often enables Operational (UK) Limited to incorporate more than one solution, bringing the customer multiple benefits, within one project.

In addition to our capital project capabilities, Operational (UK) Limited also provide tailor-made preventative maintenance programmes, which are engineered around our customers’ needs and requirements, covering the following activities.

  • LEL System Calibration and Testing.
  • LEV System Measurement and Testing.
  • Central Duct Inspection and Servicing.
  • Thermal Oxidiser Servicing. (RTO’s, After burners).
  • Wet Scrubber and Bio Filtration System Servicing.
  • Burner Inspection, Testing and Servicing.
  • Stack Emissions Testing.
  • Thermal Oil Sampling and Testing.
  • Personal Exposure Monitoring and Testing.

 

Due to continued growth within our service offering and a healthy order book, we are looking for a dynamic multi skilled engineer to join our service team as a Field Service Engineer.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Carrying out maintenance and calibration service visits, covering thermal oil heaters, central duct work systems, thermal oxidisers, bio filtration plants, scrubber systems, LEL gas safety monitoring systems.
  • Test, repair and carry out remedial actions upon, thermal oil heaters, central duct work systems, thermal oxidisers, bio filtration plants, scrubber systems and LEL gas safety monitoring systems,
  • Provide advice and technical support to customers.
  • Provide detailed site visit reports, as per the company standards and KPI’s.
  • Work closely with the operations and engineering teams, to ensure that all our customers, get the best service possible.
  • Work closely with the sales team, to ensure replacement parts specifications and scope of remedial works, are clear and understood, to enable the sales team to provide the necessary quotation for the respective works.
  • Cover the UK and Ireland, working away from home on a regular basis, with some European travel required (on average 2 nights away a week).

 

Education & Skills

  • Knowledge of thermal oxidisers is desirable, but not essential.
  • Knowledge of LEL gas safety systems is desirable, but not essential.
  • Mechanical or electrical qualification (NVQ, HNC, HND).
  • Commercial Gas Safe Certification (covering Natural Gas, LPG & Gas Boosters).
  • Knowledge of industrial burners and fault finding.
  • Ability to interrogate PLC systems, for fault finding purposes.
  • Ability to read and understand technical specifications / drawings.
  • Take corrective action towards electrical / mechanical / pneumatic related issues.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe (when required).
  • Good communication and organisation skills.
  • Presentable appearance.
